When we purchased our Nissan Altima from Carmax in December 2004, it came with only one key. Carmax paid for the second key to be made, but we had to visit the Nissan dealership in order to have this done. We visited our nearest Nissan, Sheehy Nissan of Annapolis - don't make our same mistake! I had two small children in tow and all I needed was for them to copy the key for my car. I also wanted a keyless remote, but that cost an arm and leg AND a kidney, so we decided just to get the key. Newer cars require that the keys be coded for them, an item that works as theft deterrent because the car will not start with someone else's key. The salesmen took our key and our car and had us wait in the lounge while they took car of making our copy. That took about half an hour. When they returned, we paid for our key and walked out to the car...but the new key would not start the car. In fact, they had not coded the key at all! We had to go right back inside and wait for them to do it right this time which took another 20 minutes. That's almost an hour of sitting at a dealership with two small children bouncing around all for a key to be copied. This place is not worth your time. Go elsewhere.
