Businiess name:  Savers

If you don't like thrift stores, or don't have the time or patience to hunt for the real gems here, then I wouldn't bother. Savers is a large department store like thrift store, which I find to be a bit cleaner than others in town. My understanding is that they purchase their merchandise from non-profits that take in donations and don't have thrift stores of their own. As with most thrift stores, there is a lot of undesirable stuff here. And on occasion they overprice the items they consider valuable (I recently found a $50 pair of sneakers that I could have purchased for less at a clearance sale at Foley's). However, I have made great finds in housewares (clean vintage Pyrex and Tupperware), crafts (bags of great fabric for less than $5), plus vintage patterns, an occasional pair of shoes, children's books and cookbooks, and work-worthy clothes from Ann Taylor and Banana Republic. So get after it.
