Review content:
I have been going to Al’s Beef ever since I discovered it as a student at UIC. This Taylor Street institution serves a juicy Italian beef sandwich, which you could make even messier by asking for the entire sandwich to be dipped in beef juices. I also like the beef and sausage combo. The very informal interior has counters for stand-up eating, and now there are a couple of benches outside. The parking lot for customers is handy.
