Review content:
Is Nobu over? I don't think so. I still like the food. Apparently, so do a lot of under 16s.
On a recent trip to Next Door Nobu (a place I prefer as I come for the food, not the assumed exclusivity), I was one of very few diners. Of course, this was during a blizzard. About 30% of the patrons could not legally order a sake.
This says more about the changing tide of Manhattan than anything I guess, but I don't like eating a $250 meal surrounded by middle schoolers. I think I will have to find a new sushi place.
The food was great -- I am a big fan of the cod & the ponzu rock shrimp tempura. One note if you order an omakase menu - you get a lot of food, so come hungry.
