Review content:
Tiffany & Co. used to be an exclusive shop (one might not dare pass through the doors without having a bank account large enough to back it up). As our economy and consumerism has changed in the decades since Truman Capote created Holly Golightly, Tiffany's has embraced the middle class with its fairly affordable silver jewelry and gifts.
I miss the exclusivity a bit - I remember walking in for the first time as a 16 year old with my parents (looking for a birthday gift)...it all seemed so classy and fairytale. Now, walking in on a Saturday afternoon can feel a bit like wandering through a mall. Oh well. I still come here for the odd piece of jewelry and wedding gifts for friends near & dear.
We did not purchase our wedding rings here as the service on the engagement ring floor was atrocious! Be warned! I have been pleased with the service otherwise.
