Review content:
I just returned from visiting the hotel & water park with my 12-year-old daughter and three of her friends and, after reading several negative reviews prior to our trip, felt compelled to write a rebuttal. The hotel staff was friendly & patient, and we found our room to be updated, clean, and comfortable. The ice machine on the 2nd floor was 'out of order', but the one on the 1st floor was working. The girls had a great time playing at the water park -- going down the slides, playing on the 'lily pads', and playing water volleyball/basketball (they also created their own games); and the water was heated. They also spent a lot of time playing at the outdoor playground. There is a mini-golf course on the hotel property, but it was closed for the season; it did look well-maintained, though. A snack bar was located in the water park, and we were also able to have Godfather's pizza delivered there. Before leaving, my daughter asked if we could come again. I would definitely bring them back! We had a special deal through the Quad City Times, so the value was 'excellent' for us.
