Review content:
I had a terrible experience there on Thanksgiving. My daughter spent quite a bit of money to take us there and they didn't have corn bread, apple cider. The peach cobbler tasted like it came out of a can. One of my daughters thought the turkey was canned. It arrived without stuffing which I had to ask for. I think the ham was canned and it was too sweet. It was a very big let down from what I expect at Copeland's. The salmon was very tasty. And so were the collards. My other daughter was so disappointed by the "short ribs of beef." They turned out to be roast beef. And the gentleman who claimed he was the manager yelled at the couple sitting next to us when they complained about the small portion size. They felt they were not getting their money's worth and he hollered at them. I was embarrassed for them. They got corn bread but the waiter told me three times that there was no corn bread when I requested it. And we went to the first seating. There was a second seating at 7 p.m.! Copelands has a reputation. But it was shattered on Thanksgiving! And that manager was abominable. The kids sometimes take me there for my birthday in December. But we won't be going back. What a let down. Pros: It's in my neighborhood. It's inexpensive. Good collard greens. Cons: Very slow service, nasty management. Tattered tablecloths and dead flowers on table.
