Review content:
I have been having difficulties resolving billing and insurance issues with Red River Family Practice. I just spent most of the afternoon on the phone with Medicare and my supplemental insurance carrier only to learn that the billing problems are the result of RRFP failing to re-submit correct billing information to both parties. This set of problems has been going on for several months. RRFP indicated repeatedly that they would submit corrected billing to Medicare. They failed to do so. Now the office manager at RRFP speaks to me as if I am some kind of criminal and gives me a very hard time about scheduling an appointment with my doctor in spite of the fact that Medicare and my supplemental carrier have honored more recent and correctly billed office visits with payment in full. This woman must be aware that I have the right coverages, but she seems reluctant to do the things from her end that might resolve the problem. I have no complaints about the medical care I receive at RRFP, but I do have major issues with this office manager and others responsible for dealing with billing and insurance issues. Unfortunately I am afraid that this problem will spill over into my relationship with my doctor which would be very sad indeed. I have been a patient at RRFP for a number of years.
