Other bowling alleys around the country may refer to their "rock 'n bowl" specialty nights or whatever, but I doubt any could even come close to the charm and wonder of Mid-City Lanes'. While the other places are blaring piped in music and trying to hype up the atmosphere with lasers, fog machines and black lights, this spot is rocking with real party music -- live zydeco, Latin, blues, funk or covers everyone loves. You can feel the floor move beneath your feet while every one around you dances and drinks. The bowling and eats are good, too.
