In response to Kenneth b. I am sorry your experience was not up to your expectations. Your A/C compressor was leaking at the front seal and your oil pan gasket was leaking. We tried to show you this but you stated you did not have time to look. In addition when you brought your car in you told us the blower motor was working intermittently. As we explained to you the mechanic that supposedly repaired your a/c for less than 300.00 did nothing more than fill the system with Freon and replace something that cost 160.00 although you would not specify what that was. It WILL leak out. How many times are you willing to spend 300.00 for temporary fixes? Your oil pan gasket is leaking as you evidently admit to as you are willing to add an extra quart every few months. We did not twist your arm and tell you that it had to be done it was just recommended. It is a job that is close to 500.00 because it is 4 hours labor plus parts to repair. Go ahead and call around to other shops and check pricing. you will find that we are in line if not cheaper than everybody else on this repair. We did charge you 44.00 to check your A/C out which is a half hour of labor. For this charge we hook our a/c machine up to your car fill with Freon and perform our leak check. We also preformed a electrical check on your blower motor and then we removed the Freon so as not to waste your money on Freon that will leak out. I am sorry you feel you were overcharged for this service but again if you check with any reputable shop you will find that this is a normal charge. We recommended a blower motor based on your complaint of intermittent operation and this normally points to a bad spot on armature of the motor. It amazes me how people like you can come in to my shop and because they don't like the fact that the cost of repairs exceeds their expectations will get on a public forum and make claims that we are crooks and rip people off. The quotes you were given were fair and in line with what other REPUTABLE shops would charge for the same repairs.
