The Good and the Bad\r \r I recently adopted a young shepherd mix from the pound who suffers from a bit of seperation anxiety. I looked into different day cares to help her transition and Taj mapaw was the most convenient location and the most reasonable. I stopped in before taking my dog there and the staff was happy to show me around. I got to see everything, kennels, play yards (there are 3) as well as the grooming areas. My dog adores the owner and is quite friendly with the majority of the staff. I've noticed people have not found the owner very nice but he has always been friendly, but occasionally a little brief. It took her a few days to warm up to it but she now loves going and is pleasantly worn out at the end of the day (which is a blessing given her energy level). I am still training he to be calmly bathed and she is deathly afraid of hoses but they were still able to get her clean. I was impressed and i appreciated that they stopped short of drying her when she became uncomfortable.\r \r There are some down sides. The play areas are dirt so she comes home a little dirty on rainy days. I asked them to keep her quiet for one day shortly after surgery and they disregarded that request (luckily she was unharmed). So there you have it. I'm going to follow my dog's lead, as long as she happily goes in, I'll keep taking her.
