This is a great way to better understand the meaning of disappointment. I have no idea why people flock to this place, other than they don't know what BBQ is supposed to taste like. If you've had real BBQ in the south or the South West, you're going to yawn at the flavor (bland spice, so-so sauce that you often have to pour yourself over overcooked red meat and dry pulled pork on an uninspired menu), harrumph at the portions (only the ribs are big enough, but they're inarftully sitting on a little dish in a way that recalls hospital presentation) and the lame variety of bland, small-ish sides (booooo-riiiing), before you open your eyes at the prices (not extravagent, but too high for what you get and what you're promised). This is the most over-rated restaurant in Brookline, probably in Boston. Fool us thrice, shame on us. Don't bother. There's some really excellent food across the street, so don't bother with this place. Pros: Fun if kitsche atomosphere, Cons: Bland, dry, uninspired food, lame service
