Review content:
This was my third time at this establishment, after having been very satisfied during the first two visits, the the last visit being several years ago. This time however, was a HUGE disappointment and I would not recommend it now, especially since I understand that Elana Woo has actually recently sold it, which would account for the mediocre to horrible cusine. The shrimp bisque soup was a tad above mediocre, and served lukewarm. We also tried the sesame noodles, which tasted like plain noodles in peanut butter, with no sesame whatsoever. We also sampled the eggplant stuffed mousse, a total bomb consisting of tasteless fried mashed so called shrimp inside tasteless eggplant. The appetizer highlight was the cocconut shrimp, the only tasty thing we had. It came with a mango salsa and mixed greens, an excellent combination. It could have used a little more of the sauce. Our entree's were poor, the Peking duck was bland the Hoisin sauce was so salty in was inedible. The seafood wonder made me wonder why I ever came here. The shrimp was iodine tasting, and the scallops and vegetables bland. I complained to the managerment and was offered a 10% discount, and free dessert, which was one of the worst creme brulee's I have ever had. Chez Elana Wu will not be on my go to list. Pros: 1 good appetizer, the cocconut shrimp Cons: all other food lousy
