I first went to spa roma 2 years ago for a cut, and for around $75 they did a very mediocre job..i not being one to complain, said thank you and left. Then i wanted to get my hair thermally straightened and only two places offer it in morgantown, so I thought i would give them a chance again, since the haircut was not that bad. So I asked for the best hair stylist who does the thermal straightening and booked my appt for that as well as a cut/color/consultation 2 wks before the actual straightening, just to meet the stylist and have her assess my hair. The first thing she said was, oh your hair is too long and thick, and picked up my pony and chopped off 6 inches. then she did the color which was ok. After that i asked her to cut off a single strand from either side of my face..she chopped off half the front, upon which i protested so she left the other part as it was. She then complained she was in a hurry, did a quick chop job in the back , and said she didnt have time to blowdry b/c she had other customers coming in. I told her i'd prefer a blowdry so she called another stylist to come back to the salon..this took another 15 minutes for her to come back in. The girl barely blowdryed my hair b/c she too was in a hurry. And i left the salon with uneven wet hair and paid $150 for it. I went to the mall salon later that weekend and when they saw my hair they immediately told me to get my money back b/c it was such a bad job..so i called in monday and after 4 hours and 4 phonecalls the owner of the salon finally came online, told me to come in. Well i went with 3 kids in tow including my month old son (*this spa visit was supposed to be a relaxing gift from my husband btw) and she saw me after 20 minutes..she was very rude & kept saying oh this cannot be my stylists work..i felt like sayng well get over it lady b/c she did it! After a LOT of showing /convincing, tears and my husbands intervening, they finally gave me money back! I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN!
Pros: close to home, amazing decor
Cons: rude insensitive staff who do a poor job
