To be clear, I am not rating this as a 4 star hotel. I'd say this is more like 2 or 3 star lodging but I was VERY happy with my stay here for the price and location. In the heart of downtown Memphis, it was conveniently located within walking distance of tons of good restaurants, attractions, and Beale Street. We were only in town for one night but were able to easily walk over to dinner at the famous Rendezvous restaurant and hang out along Beale Street afterwards. As for the motel itself, it's an older building and the decor definitely reflects that. But the room is clean and comfortable, we were easily able to get a good night's sleep. There is also free parking which is a definite plus. And for being in the heart of downtown Memphis, we thought $70/night to be very reasonable compared to other options for lodging nearby.
