Review content:
I have never written an online review before, however, I felt compelled to do so to share my experience and perhaps just vent a little! :-) I visited Salon 550 for a pedicure and was very disappointed by the service I received. The girl who gave my pedicure was also in the process of doing someone else's hair at the same time, so the whole service took an hour and 40 minutes! I was left soaking my feet while she rinsed out color from another client's hair, and then later with a mask on my feet while she cut AND blew dry/styled the same woman's hair. BTW... I know my feet are clean, but would YOU want someone touching your hair after they were working on someone else's feet? I know I wouldn't!!! Additionally, the mask used on my feet was self warming, which would have been okay except for the fact that it was a hot 85 degree August day. Not the best choice there... At the end of the pedicure, she found out her next appointment had arrived so she hurried through the nail polish application, which made it look sloppy and lumpy. I had nail polish on the skin surrounding the nail! I think a five year old could have applied it better.... I ended up redoing the polish at home afterwards. As you can tell by now, I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone for either a pedicure or a hair service, as it was very unprofessional and not cheap ($45 for the pedicure). I was disappointed as the salon is close to where I live and would have been convenient to go to, however, the service was just too poor. Pros: Decent atmosphere. Nothing special... Cons: Very unprofessional service. Low quality for the money.
