This is the place to go in Athens for jewelry if you value customer service and excellent quality. They are a third generation store and have been in business in downtown Athens since the early 1940's, I believe. Though their products cost more than some other places in town that call themselves jewelry stores, it is because Sliger's doesn't sell anything of inferior quality. I purchased my high school ring there more than twenty years ago. My most recent purchase was a promise ring for my 14 year old daughter. When they didn't have any in stock that she liked, they searched and searched until they were able to provide her with the most perfect ring! Even though we purchased the ring on December 22, they were able to size it and have it back to us the next day. Now that's service! Sliger's also carries a nice selection of crystal pieces perfect for brides and special gift giving occasions.
