We first visited AHC when we were traveling through the area and one of our pets had an emergency...they squeezed in a "stranger" dog on a moment's notice...with really no thought of establishing a long-term client...and gave us our labwork and a follow-up note when we walked out the door, so we could take them back to our home vet.\r When we moved to the area a year later...we came back to this vet, even though it was a 30 min drive for us. They're very comprehensive, and after several unhappy boarding experiences at local kennels - we now use them as our boarding facility, because we know we can trust them...even though boarding is rather expensive. I love the report cards we get after boarding - because the comments tell me that they did really play with our dogs...and noticed that they weren't eating, etc. I have noticed some "management" changes in the past couple of years since they were "taken over" by a veterinary management company (VCA, I think?)
