Not thrilled about lunch/dinner (not bad, but not a big lunch/dinner diner food fan), but the Golden Nugget's breakfasts ROCK! I bring all my out-of-town guests here for breakfast. They have all raved about it and even want to come back the next time they show up. The selection should please everybody in your party - they have sweet stuff (pancakes, waffles), traditional breakfasts (omelettes, eggs benedict), Mexican favorites (chilaquiles, breakfast burritos/tacos). The meals are just such a good value and you get an amazing amount of food. Most breakfasts come with your choice of a stack of pancakes or toast and hashbrowns. I've had many different meals and have never been disappointed. If you are a big eater, you should definitely try their chicken fried steak, it will not disappoint. It's always crisp and never chewy - it's just hard to eat the whole thing because the meal is HUGE. The crowd on the weekends is a mixed age group. It seems many of us are recuperating from the night before, so a lot of people (including myself) look like they just got out of bed and needed some food! It's definitely a comfortable diner atmosphere - no see and be seen thing, just people eating delicious comfort food at a decent price. The waitstaff is always friendly and attentive and they bring you your beverage of choice immediately. \r
In the morning on the weekend it can be difficult to park and can be frustrating when you are trying to pull in as 4 cars are trying to leave. Sometimes it's just easier to park on the street.
