Review content:
Just got woken up by an officer banging on my door. Upon opening it I found an officer with his weapon drawn yelling, " you had better come get your dogs before I shoot them". After that I was told that they were just out chasing bikes. If you come for the area as a tourist LOOKOUT! This town is broke and the Police seem to be making money by writing tickets heavily on the week-ends and not enforcing any traffic laws during the week. I have never been drawn upon by an officer until these guys pulled me over for 40 in a 35 on my wifes birthday. Officers are generally very rude and seem to like to abuse their power. I was pulled by a young kid a few months ago for a tail light, and he was very respectful even though he still gave a ticket. In retrospect I would never have moved here had I known the extent of the Police problem, and it is a factor in a future move. Pros: They wont come out if the power is out Cons: They over inforce in the Low-class neighborhoods
