Businiess name:  Stone Balloon
Review by:  John D.
Review content:
This place was as great as was mentioned in prior reviews. Sadly on December 17th 2005 The Stone Balloon closed its doors forever. This venue hosted some of the biggest names in music, most before they were huge stars. Months before their debut album hit the shelves Hootie and the Blowfish played the Balloon for $600. Meatloaf in his larger days played as well. Bruce Springsteen hit the stage in 1974, the owners had a hard time getting him to stop playing. Dave Matthews Band played at Stone Balloon in the early years, the list goes on and on and on. This was a Delaware icon, now being razed for condos.
