Please please please I beg of you...for your safety do not move here! You will surely regret it! I could go on and on for days about the problems with this place, but I will attempt to keep it brief. 1) First and foremost, I was robbed blind while living here. In total I had over $3000 worth of stuff stolen. The office staff refused to call the police and let the maintenance man tamper with evidence in my apartment before I arrived on the scene to assess the damage. I am a graduate student and have traveled to India a few times for volunteer work. All my graduate research papers and travel photographs were taken. I am still so heartbroken. The police felt the staff was involved in crime on the property, but said there still wasn't enough evidence to do anything. The police told me about 5-6 other reported robberies on file with the KCPD that had circumstances similar to mine. I spoke with four other neighbors that had either their apartments or cars broken in to...not to mention the 4-5 other former tenants I found in my investigation of this place. Additionally, the mailboxes and rent payment box were broken in to. 2) The parking is awful and the lighting is bad. The light bulbs are not replaced in a timely manner and when you get home late in the evening you will often times have to park far away and walk in complete darkness. Given the slew of car break-ins and other petty crimes that occur on the property, darkness is obviously a bad idea. 3) You can't get in contact with anyone at the corporate office. They will ignore your calls. I filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau - which gives this corporate operation an 'F' rating. I was given the number for the local corporate guy and the national office. Of course I received no response from either. 4) Mold, mold, mold. The apartments are very old and some have leaky ceilings. There was mold in all the door frames and in the storage unit outside my apartments. It made my allergies crazy.
