I've been going to O'Connor Hardware since I was a kid and now I'm 56 years old. This is a local family owned business so dear to the surrounding communities that people rebled against and stopped a proposal to build a Home Depot in Billerica. They care about their employees and I know many who have worked there for decades. The floor employees are very knowledgable in their areas and I'll give you 2 examples. I had a problem with clovers all over my lawn and the regular doses of weed killer didn't have any effect. I went to O'Connors to find out what to do and a young man handed me a Scott's product, which ended up working. We talked about lawn care and I was impressed at how much he knew and he told me that O'Connor's sent him to Scott's School on lawn care and products. The second problem was water damage to my swirled plaster over blue board ceiling. I knew how to cut out the old blue board and replace it but not how to redress the swirled ceiling so it would blend in. The man i
