My burgundy lizard western boots were in disrepair in such a way that I did not know if they could be fixed. The skin was thin and I noticed a tear on the side. I love these boots, but could not wear them for fear of further damage. One day, I almost passed by the Ruslan Custom Shoe Boutique window, but walked inside instead. To my delight, I spoke to a nice man named Rafael who assured me that he was the "doctor" of shoe/boot repair. Yes, he fixed my boots! Not only were they fixed, but now they look better than the original version. Once we agreed on the price, I was a little apprehensive, but Rafael's attention to detail and ability to make/craft such fine footwear made me a happy customer.
Since the lizard skin was so fragile, he replaced/remade the lower part with crocodile skin of the same color as the top. He was also able to open the inside for a little more room at the instep. Now I am happy and delighted to be able to wear my favorite western boots again.
Thank you Rafael! You have not seen the last of me. Your service and attention to detail makes you stand out from the rest. You are an artist of shoemaking!
