My boyfriend and I went to this place for my birthday. The hostess allowed the manager's brother to saunter in and take the table we were supposed to sit at. In return, we mentioned this to the hostess. \r
She started crying and went to the manager (apparently the manager treats his employees bad). Anyway, we were approached by saying we upset the waitress. We couldn't believe management allowed something this bad to happen. Completely ruined my birthday and my perception of the El Ranchito name. I used to visit all the time in Newport. No more. I can see how the management treats its employees and customers. Would never go back there. Service was disrespectful and embarassing. No effort was made to apologize to my boyfriend or myself.
Pros: in Laguna
Cons: No beach view. Bad management.
