I Used to work for springbrook house and i would tell anyone that asked me that their loved ones are NOT safe here. Almost everyday your loved one will be left to sit unattended by the 1 nursing assistant on shift while that person is in another room having to clean, cook and god knows whatelse because if we didnt have those things done by the end of our shift we would be in trouble. The owner is the only person we had to contact for help if we needed it and she never answers the phone. and if she does she is almost always 10 to 20 minutes away. the ""assistants"" she hires mostly have never worked in a nursing home in their lives. and dont know what to do in an emergency. It was the biggest joke of a health care ficility i ever worked for. and i have worked in quiet a few! before I quit there was a lady there who started showing signs of a heart attack and I couldnt get a hold of anyone for 3 hours! and then I got blown off and 4 hours later the woman was In really bad shape and had to call her nurse myself and only THEN did the owner bother to call me and tell me she was coming. While all this was happening I had 6 other Ladies to care for and watch all with no help because of the 4 attendants that were working for Springbrook house at the time (including myself) I could only get ahold of 1 who was out of town. She did finally get taken to a hospital but it wasnt until the next day. A few days later when i came back for my next shift I learned that the lady had had a massive heart attack, not long after that she died of another heartattack shortly after being brought back to Springbrook house. Please if your considering bringing your loved ones here think again! They will not be taken care of properly and its because the woman who owns the place is a manipulative and selfish woman who is never there and is too cheep to actually properly staff the facillity.
