We love to go to 'joints' stay away from chains when traveling.\r
what a treat this was! lots of New Orleans junk on the walls, a very casual atmosphere. Band was a little loud, but we did not go there to discuss world issues, just soak it in!\r

Gumbo was a good starter, we were there on a Tuesday, the Chicken ala mer was a 1/2 price special.\r
chicken with a seafood 'gravy' on top. had a choice of preparation, fried, grilled or blackened. I had the blackened, a great choice to make it spicey!\r
My husband had some seafood pasta, really liked it but thought it had too much sauce [but that's a common issue he has]\r

relax and enjoy!
Pros: great atmosphere, good spicy food
Cons: not fancy, don't come thinking you'll be treated like a king!
