This bar may not be everybody's cup of tea, but it has outlived a LOT of those downtown bars. Some of the regulars think of it as "Cheers." Bout Time is a great place to go to TALK, meet people, sit out the North Austin rush hour, and play pool, darts, or volleyball. It's one of the few bars in town that welcomes people of all ages, gender, and persuasions. Parking in the much-criticized parking lot is FREE (unlike downtown). Most of the people and bartenders are friendly (watch out for Rude Sunday). It's rarely overcrowded, but the "dead" periods are often shorter than those at other bars. Pros: friendly, free parking, "Cheers" atmosphere
