Businiess name:  Fifty-Two Point Five *aka 52.5 Records
Review by:  Dave D.
Review content:
How did they get the name 52.5? Well, there old address was 52 1/2 Wentworth Street. That place may have been small, but the ideas and the variety of products were larger than life. Now that they have been settled in there new, larger location at 75 Wentworth, 52.5 continues to serve customers that are interested in music that may not be available at the record store in the mall or large national chains. Specializing in vinyl (new, used, imports, and rare) and equipment, you are more than likely to find that awesome band you love and be able to hear it on the sweet, warm sound of a 12 or 7" record. The store also carries a huge selection of punk and alternative cd's, as well as true underground hip hop or even some techno. There have been many times that I have searched the internet for a specific title only to find it was either unavailable or the price was too high, then walked into 52.5 to see that they either had it or could get it. There are many other music stores in the area (the monster list of them all would take a millenium to factor in this post, and you'd turn purple in the process), but I have never found the stuff I wanted at the price I wanted, except for at 52.5. To sum it up, if you are looking for the must have items for your music collection, try 52.5. It's locally owned, and they have some of the coolest stuff available.
