Had another amazing meal at Ramayani today. After reading complaints about slow service, we decided to bring something to read while we waited. We didn't get very far, though - the service was quick!\r \r The decor is bright and colorful, obviously well thought-out. The hosts are warm and friendly.\r \r As for the food - today we tried ayam bakar (chicken in sweet soy sauce) instead of our usual ayam bumbu rujak ramayani (sweet bell pepper sauce) - and we always request white meat. Both are flavorful and we'd order them again, although we're leaning toward the ayam bumbu.... We always order beef rendang and it did not disappoint! We have enjoyed gado gado and rujak salads here, but skipped them today to try the tumis udang dan pete - a zesty shrimp dish in a sweet tomato & onion sauce. And we allllways order frekedel jagung (corn fritters). You get four, so if there are two of you, be sure to save one each for your meal (it is an appetizer and will come first) - they taste so good with the various sauces of other dishes!\r \r I almost forgot - got black rice pudding for dessert - perfection! Pros: friendly service, outstanding food
