ILOVE THIS STORE. Of course you have to THINK when you shop here. Refurbished stuff is refurbished for a reason. Poor design or poor quality parts that may or may not have been replaced with better parts. If you go this route make sure you buy a name brand and/or research the problem on the net. You may find a fix you can do yourself and save big bucks in the process. Like any business, especially a place that pays minimum wage and the people only get a few hours and there's considerable turnover you will sometimes get an ignorant employee who will try to fake it when you ask questions. I know who the informed people are and I ask THEM if I have a question. In furniture, I always ask Marlene who has been there for years and really knows her stuff. I get good deals and I find things that aren't available anywhere else, especially packaged foods. I make it a point to stop in as often as possible because you never know what you might find. I also check the dollar store nearby before I buy some things so I can get the best deal. Check out their flyers at the front of the store for coupons.\r Big Lots currently has a rewards program. You get the reward (discount) after so many purchases of a minimum of x dollars. Some people erroneously think they automatically get a discount or that $1 purchases qualify. Nope.\r I always check out the tools and automotive sections. Some item are questionable but some are brand names.
