Zero Stars if I could specify that. The management of this theater pulls a bait-and-switch with Groupons. Northgate is trying to get more business by offering Groupons but the conditions that they enforce at the box office are different than what is advertised. The Groupon clearly states "" Valid only for movies running longer than 2 weeks."" This clearly means that for any special showings of less than two weeks the Groupon is not valid. However, the manager instructed the worker bees at the box office not to take any Groupons for any movie which had not been playing for at least 2 weeks. The manager would not speak directly to me about the problem, but shouted at me from the other side of the box office that the movie that I wanted to see would be showing there for at least 5 weeks. He would not let me see the movie that I came to see (which has opened the day before) and said that I could only see one of the movies that was not marked with an * on the showtimes board. I asked to speak to the owner of the theater and the manager shouted that he never came to the theater. I refused to see an alternate movie at Northgate and went to a different theater. I have bought Groupons for the Northgate theater before and had no problem using them for newly opened movies, so I do not know what has changed. I will be contacting Groupon with my complaint and will ask for my money back. I will definitely not buy another Groupon for this theater.
