Review content:
I am writing this review to warn potential patrons of Western Spirit of their deceitful business practices. I purchased $1800.00 worth of merchandise for a still-life photo shoot. I explicitly asked the salesperson if there was a rental policy and was told that there was not. However, within 7 days I would be able to return the unused merchandise for store credit, except for the vintage pieces.\r I explained that I was a stylist prepping for a series of ads for Stetson and McGraw perfumes and went so far as to show the layouts to my salesperson. There was no question about my intentions for purchasing the merchandise and at no time was a rental offered to me. Upon returning the merchandise within the 7 days, my assistant was confronted rudely and told that merchandise purchased for commercial use was not able to be returned. Star, the store manager, also said that there was a rental policy for such situations. Star declared that we must not have asked about a rental policy. Another salesperson was overheard saying that Western Spirit needed to tell all the employees about the rental policy because some did not know of it. Star disagreed and claimed that all employees DID know about the rental policy and we were in the wrong. I am a New York stylist of 18 years; I do not make errors regarding my client?s budget. Not only did Western Spirit incorrectly describe their return policy and rental agreement, they then harassed my assistant and myself. They did not honor the return policy stated on the receipt, claiming it was invalid because the goods were purchased for a photo shoot. After numerous aggravating phone calls and negotiations to the ?VERY BUSY? storeowner Jacky, I did manage to return some of the items for store credit. In closing, I advise all shoppers to avoid Western Spirit. They clearly do not understand how to run a business and do not follow the most basic tenants of decent customer service.\r \r Sharon Ryan\r Pros: Big Store Cons: Terrible at nearly everything
