Firstly, I am not one to usually write review---but I am so impressed that I have to take the time to explain my experience at the Riccaardo Maggiore salon. I am not a stranger to higher end salons in New York. After having a terrible experience at a salon I have been a patron for over two years (over-processed highlights resulting in breakage)?I spent a good part of the winter just looking for a new place to color and style my hair.\r
After sifting through citysearch reviews, I booked an appointment for highlights and cut. I have fairly long curly hair and am always petrified of the scissor-happy stylist.\r
My colorist and stylist was Antonio. After warmly welcoming my mother and I (who was also there for color and a cut), he started his consultation. Initially, I was shocked when he stated that he was not going to use bleach for my highlights. I naturally have medium brown hair and kept thinking I was going to walk out as a redhead. Not so. My color is simply remarkable?there are no other words.\r
I am also extremely pleased with the cut ?for curly girls afraid of the scissor and blonds sick of being brassy?Antonio can quite honestly transform your hair.\r
The staff is warm and friendly (no pretentiousness here) and prices are reasonable for the service and attentiveness you receive. \r
