Review content:
Having just moved to Portland from New York, it was nice to find a hookah bar/cafe that offered all the comforts of home. The service was not only fast and friendly, but there was the overall feeling of being in your grandmother's kitchen. The owner went out of her way to make us comfortable, enjoyed amicable conversation with us, and cracked jokes the whole time we were there. She also seems to have an admirable knack for remembering people, which is something I look for in a casual haunt. The combination of Middle Eastern music with hookahs and backgammon gives the place a fun and somewhat authentic feel, and the Persian tea was some of the best I've ever had. Whether you're looking for a quick bite, a casual date joint, or a perfect spot to sit and write/ do homework, this is the one for you.
Pros: hookahs, relaxing atmosphere, great service
Cons: close proximity to PSU makes it very hard to find parking
