Review content:
This was our last stop on our disappointing day trip to Leavenworth. My husband saw the trees decked out in soft pretzels (which he adores) so we had to get him one on the way out of town. BIG mistake!!! It was so stale I swear it had to have been baked last week and left to dry up in the display case. He decided to get some cheese for dipping...this turned out to be a gloppy processed cheese or something at least attempting to resemble cheese. I had a cream puff of sorts. Not very pufflike and not very cream like. I am an avid baker and desire to own my own bakery someday. If you are going to own a baker on the main street of a town like Leavenworth, you've GOT to do better than stale pastries and bottled beverages. We spent about $11 for a drip coffee, sm carton of milk and two not-so-satisfying pastries. I jokingly said to my husband that I should call the owner and find how much they would sell me the bakery for. So much potential.........so sadly underloved!!! Where is your passion and love for all things Leavenworth? If you ever read this review and are willing to sell, look me up!!!! If I could give half a star...I would. I suppose they earned one star for at least having the doors open during business hours?
