Review content:
I was excited to visit this place for a birthday dinner. I had been there once before *many* years ago and seeing that it had endured, I wanted to revisit. I have to say that while I lived in San Diego, there was an AMAZING greek restaurant, Aesop's Tables, so I was expecting the same. Well, the food was certainly good, I had the chicken souvlaki, came with a nice dinner salad, rice potato. Chicken was delicious.\r \r The decor was simple, plain. Unfortunately, our waiter seemed a bit inexperienced, timid perhaps, and when my friend asked about the wine list, he mumbled the selections. When she had a question about the house wine, he mumbled the answer again, it was a little odd. Since I had suggested the restaurant, I was a bit embarassed and the general awkwardness. And it sort of spoiled my experience.\r \r There were plenty of people buzzing in and out with to-go orders, so maybe that will be my strategy next time. I think I'll try a few other greek places before going back to this one. Pros: great food, comfortable, leisurely Cons: inexperienced staff
