Review content:
We go to Maymont several times a year, if not nearly every month. They have a barnyard with animals, some injured wild animals, a fantastic exhibit with otters and other native aquatic life, historical buildings, and amazing gardens. \r \r The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because in the last few years it seems the barnyard is not what it used to be. The animal food dispensers have been either done away with or are put away when I am there, and they have very few animals out - mostly goats and a couple of cows. They used to have peacocks, rabbits, chickens, horses, and a feature on square foot gardening.\r \r Currently there is quite a bit of construction going on to add what looks like a new aviary section. I believe it will be worth it. Pros: Go at your own pace, wide variety of sights, beautiful grounds, no set price. Cons: Get ready to walk - a lot.
