Fujiya all-you-can-eat methodology: There are 3 rounds where you can order food. Once you're done with round one, they bring you back the form for you fill out again. I've been to Fujiya three times now (and all for the all you can eat dinner) and each time I had one more person with me and visited on a progressively busier night and each experience is worse than the last. Experience #1: I'm by myself on mid-week night. There was another table in the restaurant and one or two at the sushi bar. I got most of my food. They forgot a dish or two (of nigiri sushi), which was fine considering that I ate a lot. #2: I have a friend with me on a Sunday night. It was a casual busy. They forgot about 4-5 dishes. #3: I have 2 friends with me on a Friday night. The placed was full. They forgot about half our orders and this happened twice. I left barely satisfied (hunger-wise) this time. Furthermore, in each experience, they cut me off from the sea urchin (aka uni) by telling me that they're out for the night. Also, when I order 1 order of nigiri, I am supposed to get 2 pieces. When I order the uni, I get only 1 piece. The wait staff is friendly, so I'm not sure whose fault it is and if the staff is just incompetent or if the management is just shady. They don't do anything to mark the form I order on and they bring the food in small groups, so I'm not sure how they keep track. In any case, they lost a customer: I don't feel as comfortable going here any more, because regardless of why the food doesn't come, I feel cheated when I don't get what I ordered. Even when one of my friends offered to pay for my meal so that he can try it out, I declined. It's idiotic for a business to treat a customer this way, especially one that brought them new customers each time he went. If the food showed up as ordered, I would've given this place a 4. Pros: decent nigiri at a good all-you-can-eat price; friendly staff Cons: food may not come and is more likely to not come if you have more people and it's busy
