I am so very disappointed in Grace. After over a year of consigning with her I ran in to a very disturbing situation with her today. Last year I brought her my wedding dress to consign. I asked several question as to how it worked and explained if it didn't sell at the amount we agreed upon...I WANTED it back. periodically I would check to see if the dress was still there and to my knowledge it was never sold. Today when I brought a bag of clothes in to consign I asked if I could take my dress with me seeing it hadn't sold. She told me I could go downstairs and look for it....After looking through every wedding dress there, I discovered mine was no where to be found. When I went back upstairs to let Grace know the dress wasn't there..she didn't act surprised and simply said I would have to wait for Lindsay her daughter. I was very upset that the owner of this establishment did not seem to care nor did she do anything to help me look for the dress. When I started questioning her as to what could of happen, she became defensive and started changing her story. Now she tells me it could have been donated due to being outdated!!! I assured her it wasn't outdated. I was hurt and insulted. She was clueless. As I pressed her for information, she then said maybe they sold it at their big sale for 99.00. The more she spoke the madder I got. When I became upset she had the nerve to tell me that she didn't want her TWO customers in the store thinking she was not a well respected establishment. Forget that she was screwing me and did absolutely NOTHING TO TRY AND HELP ME!!!! What store owner does that? She just kept saying Lindsay would have to look for it! Let it be known I DID NOT RAISE MY VOICE TO HER. I just wanted to know where the dress was. Ummmm excuse me, I trusted her with my dress, said on several occasions I DO NOT WANT TO DONATE IT , and asked repeatedly for an answer as to what happen????? She could not answer. I'm sorry but if you are going to run a business, and screw up...your customers will be angry. I then went back downstairs and rummaged through all the racks. I stumbled upon my veil which was a champagne color stuck in a bag with a bright white dress. Oh yes they are so careful with your expensive items!!! I also found my daughter's prom dress I had brought there. When I went back up with the veil she still had no explanation except someone must have put in the wrong bag....There were no tags on it or anything.....they were going to sell my veil with someone elses's dress and give that person the money? Hmmmm? Could my dress have been credited to the wrong account? I am so disappointed in the way she spoke to me. She told me to take the prom dress, veil and clothes I had just brought in and leave. She didn't want my stuff if I was going to raise my voice to her. So I left......she owes me money, her daughter never called to let me know about my wedding dress, and I still have very nice clothes I left with her a month or so ago that are waiting to be sold. Is it possible they mixed up the customer accounts? Yes! Is it possible she could have offered to look in to the situation and showed some concern...YES......is it possible as the OWNER she could have handled the situation with some empathy and stop dumping everything on her nice daughter Lindsay???? And Grace wants to be respected as a good businesswoman....well she blew it. My dress is gone. I received NO MONEY for it and she has no idea what happen. She had my veil in with someone else's dress. She didn't even apologize or anything. When they are consigning gowns or expensive prom dresses, doesn't it make sense to keep a record of it under our accounts. Why wouldn't she know when or if it sold. I just don't understand. I learned a hard lesson....very disappointed that I was cheatdd by them. And Grace does not care Please think twice before doing business with her....
