Review content:
We have frequented this place often in the past and were excited when we called the week prior and were able to get reservations for Father's Day this year. There were 4 of us, plus my 7-month-old son in our party. We arrived before 10:30, our scheduled reservation time, and there was a line out the door. We were so relieved that we had our reservations and would not have to wait in the line with an impatient baby. When we approached the young woman at desk and told her about our reservation she rudely said they did not take reservations. We explained that we had called the previous week and had made the reservations that the person who had answered the phone told us we had a reservation for 10:30 on Father's Day. The girl was extremely rude and told us that she could not help us and that we would have to wait 45 minutes for a table just like everyone else. We spoke to an older woman, who I believe is the owner's mother and she was also very rude. She played dumb and just repeated over and over that they did not take reservations. Neither woman apologized and seemed more put-off by having to talk to us than concerned that someone that worked there had given us false information and inconvenienced us. We left and went to the Back Porch Cafe in Skippack, which was wonderful. We will never return to the Lederach Tea Room and have told the numerous friends we have that also frequent the restaurant of our awful experience, so it is likely they will not return either. My advice is to skip this place and go somewhere in Skippack instead! Pros: good food for price Cons: staff is rude
