I recently moved to the area and decided to try Prestons after visiting their website. When I first arrived my impression was that it seemed outdated , dirty , and very crammed . After waiting for around 15-20 minutes I was finally taken to a chair, which probably is about average but I just was already at the point where I was feeling inconfident in the place . The young girl who washed my hair seemed friendly enough but was lacking appropriate clothing for her build and looked like she was maybe dressed for a night out with friends rather than work . Although , after seeing all of the other female stylists in there that seemed to be about the norm . I had a male stylist cannot (cannot remember the name) who I felt did a good job and is the only reason I would return , loved the cut ! My reason for giving the place 3 stars is that the place felt like it needed an update and the staff felt unprofessional .
My advice for this salon would be to update the place and do some major re-decorating . I'd also possibly recommend enforcing a dress code because the girls look to be more like over weight street walkers rather than professionals , nothing like the salon I went to in Arizona where they wore all solid color blouses and slacks . I am a middle aged women and find it offensive seeing bulges and spillage through a young ladies tights.
Bottom line ... Will I return? Possibly . Will I recommend ? Most likely not.
