Review content:
Went into this place asking if I could get a free estimate on a broken exhaust pipe. Was told that was no problem. They called me back the next day with an estimate nearly $500, saying the whole exhaust system had to be fixed (catalytic converter, pipe, muffler, gaskets, everything). I said thanks but no thanks, and I was told that the estimate costs 35 bucks, but that if I got the job done there they would waive it. \r \r Then went to John the Muffler Man on Wells St, where they had my car on the lift within half an hour. They took a look at it, said they could weld a new piece of pipe where the break was. 25 minutes later they had fixed my exhaust pipe for $50 bucks. \r \r I'll never come back to this place again. A friend of mine had a bad experience at Joes as well. It seems like most of his business is towing away junk cars, while fixing cars is number two. For a little more than the price of the estimate at Joes, I was able to get my car fixed at John the Muffler man. Pros: It was close to my house Cons: Everything
