Review content:
I have been taking my cats to Tribeca Soho from just about the time they opened in a small walkup around the corner in a building that has since been torn down and replaced by an upscale restaurant. I also used to live just three blocks away but several years ago I moved far uptown and I STILL use them as my vet, I simply stick a cat into a carrier, sling it over my shoulder and hop onto the train. I have many cats and specialise in geriatric/special needs Persians and so my veterinary needs run the gamut from a quick check up to spaying/neutering to serious surgery and it includes palliative care. I have always found the vets to be first class. I gravitate to Dr. Koprowski as she and I share similar personality traits but feel comfortable with whomever is on duty should it be a crisis. The techs are first class, the nurses as well, the place is clean as can be and the front desk is pleasant and efficient. There seems to be lower than average turnover (apart the regrettable loss of the redoubtable Sharon at the gate) and I like consistency in medical care. They are able to do much of the testing in house so you don't have to wait forever for results and an ultra-sound person comes in twice a week so you don't have to schlepp to other facilities except for really specialised tests. Those reviewers who are wincing at the cost--I feel your pain. You have no idea. But I don't think they are any more expensive than equal calibre vets and I don't trust my animals anywhere else.
