What can I say, it's an art store. People always rave that the prices are way lower than Meininger's, but (at least on things I need -- drawing papers, charcoal, drawing/ink stuff, I don't paint) the prices are not THAT much lower. I've been here twice in the last 3-4 months and both times I felt the prices and selection were adequate (Meininger's kills it for selection but is expensive), but the customer service was terrible. I had to wait around for 5 minutes at the register just to ask a question, and later another few minutes to be rung up, and both times there were only two or three other customers in the store at the time, but at least three staff. WTF. Maybe this is why the place is never busy and Meininger's is crawling with people. (Okay and Meininger's is on Broadway, but still.) Pros: good selection compared to many places, somewhat lower prices Cons: horrible customer service, very limited street parking
