Review content:
I am an executive of a company with over 1000 employees in the DFW area and an attorney. I frequent many of the best restaurants in the Metroplex, both for business as well as with my family.\r \r Based on internet reviews & description of the food on the menu, we were really looking forward to a fine dining experience at the OAR HOUSE. We have eaten in almost all of the finest restaurants in Dallas & Addison and was looking forward to eating at a nice restaurant closer to home.\r \r What a terrible choice I made to celebrate my birthday at the OAR HOUSE! I made a reservation for 4 adults and 5 children. When we walked in there were several staff just hanging out at the bar. The unenthusiatic waitress Dani just asked us, ""Are you the party of 9?"" & then pointed to a booth next to the bar that had been set up for us. They figured that seating children next to the bar was the most appropriate despite the fact that the restaurant was half empty on a Thursday night.\r \r The mushroom soup that came with our meals and the garlic bread were good. However, the rest of the food was very mediocre & portions sizes were very small. We ordered a halibut which was small tough & tasteless. Lamb shank was a huge bone with very little meat, which had a boiled flavor. Salmon was tasteless. Veal scallopini was fairly decent. \r \r During the meal, the bar tenders and waiters hung out at the bar loudly talking, and we found that to be very irritating.\r \r Overall, the dining experience was VERY disappointing. Since I own 10 companies around the OAR HOUSE, it would have been good for the OAR HOUSE to have given us good service. We frequent a lot of the nice restaurants in the area and this experience was such a disappointment that all family members agreed that this was one of our worst dining experiences. We also cater large parties from the restaurants that we enjoy. However, I will make sure to steer any of my friends and family members AWAY from that horribly run business.\r Pros: Goof Mushrrom Soup Cons: Food, Service, Ambience
