Review content:
Our stay was just under a week and I wish it were longer. The grounds are incredible from the bars, to the restaurants, to the pools and lagoons. The staff were friendly and helpful in planning adventures off the hotel grounds. The beach was great to swim, surfers were there all day. We saw sea turtles every day. We went cliff diving right off to the left of the beach. We played a round of golf at Poipu Bay and other than the wind, enjoyed the day to the fullest. Pretty expensive, but you have to pay for all the amenities. Well worth every dime. Some other notes-- The wife spent a day in the spa and said it was incredible. Try to book that ahead of time to assure a spot. We went to the luau that the hotel hosts, definitely a must in Kauai. Food was great as well as the entertainment. The restaurant by the koi ponds had amazing food as well. I can't remember the name, I think it was Tidepools. You sit among the kio ponds while eating, nice atmosphere. As far as location, you are a fifteen minute drive to anything worth seeing. Boat tours of the Napali Coast was cool. Waterfalls are all over the island. We will definitely go back for an anniversary. Pros: check the comments, I listed it all Cons: pricey, but worth it.
