Review content:
My boyfriend wanted to check this place out since he had driven by it so many times. It was also recommended by a Korean friend of ours. The place is small but cute. Unfortunately, the a/c was not working which made our experience unpleasant considering the average highs have been over 100 degrees. The place is run by 2 or 3 Korean ladies who spoke broken English so I was expecting really good food. The food took a really time ? I think there was only one chef in the back. Our drinks were never refilled - I think they were focusing on a much bigger party. The vegetable pancake came out (although I told them to take this off my order but we ate it anyways since we waited so long) as our appetizer and it was okay ? very small to what I?m used to. The sauce was very flavorful and spicy. Finally, the Korean ribs came out which were pretty bland. I can make better ribs from out of a bottled marinade. We also had the tofu soup which I really enjoyed. They even cracked an egg in the soup, something most restaurants don?t do anymore. It could?ve been spicier. The sides were pretty good too ? but they didn?t have my all time fave ? spicy cucumbers. I am basing my rating mainly on the BBQ ribs because that is what makes a restaurant! We did order Chop Chae but that came out at the very end of our meal when we had finished all of our food. They did give us that for free. My boyfriend and I walked out very disappointed. Pros: Authentic, good sides, yummy soup Cons: BBQ is bland, no a/c, location, service
