Last night a friend and I dropped by the Cork House for dinner. We had no reservations but did not need any and were seated at a lovely table by the fireplace. The ambiance is incredible but that is the last nice thing that I can say about this eatery. We started with a scallop appetizer which sounded lovely. However, it was tough and horrible. The waiter was shocked when we told him. They took it off the bill. We then had the martini salad which was passable. For entrees we had the flatiron steak which came out as ordered but was only tolerable if dipped in the gravy. The potatoes and mushrooms that came with steak were left on plate after tasting. The crab stuffed shrimp was okay but no better than a cheap frozen entree. The shrimp dinner came with lemon rice and prosciutto ham wrapped around dry lettuce. I cannot emphasize dry enough. Both were dry and the ham was rubbery. I cannot complain enough. The service and bar is another horror story. Stay away, stay very far away.
Pros: The ambience
Cons: Food, Bar, Service
