Review content:
I used to absolutely love Adelante and had shopped there for many years. Not so, anymore. When I was in grad school, my sister gave me a $75 Adelante gift certificate for my birthday. I did nothing but work full-time and go to school during those two years, so, needless to say, I didn't use the gift certificate. Then I moved, and the gift certificate was MIA for a time. When I finally found it, I called the store to see if I could still use it, and, after checking, the sales rep said ""yes.""
I went to the store and found two pairs of earrings. To make a long story short, the owner, Tricia Mason Roberts, told me she would not honor the gift certificate. It was two plus years old, and that was too old for her. Further, she insinuated that I lied about being told that they would honor it. I received many other gift certificates while I was in grad school, and didn't use them until after I graduated, and not one other merchant refused to honor their certificate. Only Adelante. I will never return to that store.
